Great start today! You are really excellent readers.

Read from 34 to 57 (I think…don’t have my book…should be the end of a chapter).

Please note any vocabulary you don’t know.

Also, please make 1 observation you would be willing to share with the class from page 18-57. In class, we will talk in page order–so if you have something you want to mention that is on page 25 you might go 1st. I will also be pointing out passages of interest.

Look especially for caveats which are sometimes quite subtle, but important to the developing consciousnesses of the characters.

Also, note any narrative passages or letters you think are particularly “rich” and would lend themselves to close reading.
